ELIZABETH TELEKI, MA

Elizabeth Teleki is the President of Park Place Advisory; previously COO at Park Place Financial, which she has held since 2016. During her tenure she has overseen the growth of the business moving from a small team of 10 in one centralized location, to a team of 50 with multiple locations across the province. In addition, Elizabeth played a central role in the diversification of the business in 2018 when the firm partnered with Peak Benefit Solutions. Her position also has her focus on fiduciary oversight, strategic plan development and execution as well as the governance structure with the partnership team. She thoroughly enjoys working with the team to push the daily limits of what is achievable and seeing tangible results.
Elizabeth has a deep-rooted passion for entrepreneurship. Having grown up with parents who ran a family business she saw first hand the grit, dedication and hours required to drive a small business, as well as the sacrifices people have to make along the way to create something they are proud of.
Elizabeth has combined her education and practical experiences to help forge new pathways to learning at her alma mater, as well as helping to develop entrepreneurship skills and experiences with youth and adults. In her time at Peterborough Economic Development she helped over 200 business owners achieve financing, start or expand their businesses. She developed and got funding for Starter Company, a grant and education program for new entrepreneurs in the City and County of Peterborough. It now runs across the province. She was also a founder of Startup Peterborough which culminated in Venture North, an entrepreneurship hub in the region.
An avid traveller, Elizabeth has travelled across Canada, biking from Niagara to Cape Breton, lived abroad in France and Japan, and visited South and Central America. One of her most memorable adventures was canoeing the Nahanni River in Canada’s North West Territory.
Elizabeth has volunteered in the community in several leadership roles, including a two term tenure as a Board member for United Way as well as serving six years with the PRHC Board. Elizabeth lives in Peterborough with her husband who owns and operates the Ninja Academy as well as her two sons.

Through these conversations, Darrell works with the family to establish a governance approach by aligning the families vision and planning for future generations.
Darrell is a member of the Family Enterprise Exchange, a group of Canada’s top specialists that focus on helping clients with stewardship and governance for the continuity of the family business.

Mike D’Alessandro, CFP, is the co-founder of Park Place Financial, a Certified Financial Planner and a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), the premier association of financial professionals focusing on exemplary performance and the highest standard of ethics and professional knowledge.
With over 10 years of experience in financial, succession and business planning, Mike is recognized for specializing in wealth preservation strategies for motivated professionals, entrepreneurs and high net worth clients. He frequently works with attorneys, CPAs and lawyers to coordinate a team approach in executive, business and estate planning for his clients. Under his leadership, Park Place Financial has grown to be one of the most respected wealth management firms in Peterborough with its team frequently recognized for both their investment performance and commitment to the community.
Mike has represented Canada at the World University Games as a hockey player and currently volunteers for his daughter’s hockey team as its head coach. He is also a co-founder and past president of HOPE, a non-profit organization that organizes the annual Gaskell Cup to raise funds for Hospice Peterborough, research into mental health and concussions in sport and other great charities in the region. He is also a member of 100 Men who Care Peterborough and founder of Startup Peterborough, providing mentoring and support to entrepreneurs in the region.

As a Business Advisor with Park Place Advisory, Dave McLeod focuses on helping business owners maximize their equity and plan for efficient transition and exit. Drawing on his vast expertise from a robust business career with logistics, transportation and software companies, Dave also has first-hand experience as an entrepreneur who has successfully transitioned from his business.
Dave spent over 25 years developing and executing sales strategies, improving operational efficiencies and driving sales via digital marketing strategies across multiple sectors of business. His unique skill set, coupled with his passion for people and team building, have consistently led to innovation in driving growth, business development, transition strategies and successful outcomes for CEOs and owner operators across the province.
Dave is a Business graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University, and is focused on supporting entrepreneurs by addressing their company’s needs, helping improve performance, and assisting in driving growth. After a successful exit from his last business, Dave spent 8-years working with hundreds of Ontario business owners in his role of Senior Client Partner, BDC Advisory Services as well as through his current work as Chapter Chair with Innovators Alliance.
In his spare time, Dave can be found travelling, golfing or sometimes doing both at the same time. The recent birth of his first grandson will provide a new focus on developing the next generation of Canadian entrepreneurs!

Candace is the Executive Assistant to Mike D'Alessandro, CFP, at the Peterborough Office. She began her career in finances in 2015 due to an interest in supporting families in securing their financial futures. Starting as new grad in financial briefs and forensic accounting, in 2017 Candace moved into wealth management. In her support role at Park Place Financial, she enjoys being the first point of contact for clients. Candace has expertise in supporting senior leadership through investigative research, ensuring a holistic approach for planning, prepatory and execution of client needs.
Candace is constantly communicating with clients and prides herself in building and maintaining excellent relationships. She finds joy in being able to support clients, allowing her to understand their circumstances, obstacles and goals for the future. Candace lives with her young family in Peterborough, Ontario. She volunteers with a number of charitable organizations there and in her hometown of Sudbury.
